The new X-Lite FDJeux Frame Set is lighter and stiffer than last years 999 X-Lite (Monocog Technology). The new T3 construction method offers unidirectional carbon fibers makeing the frame lateraly stiff and vertically compliant. This propriatory construction method ensures a light weight frame while obtaining a high quality manufacturing finish. The same highly ranked, professional riding bike is available again, shipped straight from the factory in Dijon, France.

Whether standing on the pedals, powering up a steep climb, or sitting in the saddle spinning the flats, this beautiful, impeccably built carbon fiber frame delivers the perfect combination of stiffness, rigidity and light weight.
Reducing bike weight has always been at the heart of Lapierre's development process. To optimize every gram, the frame is designed in 3D using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) software, and then recreated using a finished element calculating software that simulates the behavior of the frame under different conditions. The information from these simulations helps identify the areas of the frame that are put under the most stress and pinpoint the direction of the carbon fibers and number of carbon layers necessary for optimal ride quality. The end result is a high performance frame with the best weight/performance ratio possible.

Lapierre may be a new name in North America, but it's extremely well established in its native France. The frame is a one piece design that is constructed of Lapierre's proprietary 0.9C high modulus carbon fiber. The frame is designed with a great deal of material in the BB area and generous flaring of the tubes around all the main joints. The Francaise des Jeux team were the first to use the Lapierre X-Lite frame, introduced in last year's collection and improved for this year's, with totally new artwork. All of the X-Lite frames are in fact identical to those used by the Francaise des Jeux team riders such as Baden Cooke and Brad McGee, so you, too, can attack the famous Alpe d'Huez climb in total confidence. Includes Ritchey WCS headset.
