Douglas Racing Package Road Bikes

The incredible High Modulus carbon Fusion offers a race-proven geometry, totally integrated Shimano Ultegra components and a well-balanced road feel that delivers new levels of performance and value. Whether on the open road, climbing in the mountains or competing at a grueling stage race, the Douglas Fusion has been designed to excel in all types of road scenarios.

In development, Douglas considers the performance of the whole bike and does not simply focus on a single attribute. This detailed analysis of frame and fork, as well as each piece of componentry, renders exceptional performance benefits, including a perfect balance between lightweight, durability, affordability and flawless handling.

The proprietary lay-up process for the Fusion's tube set uses High Modulus carbon that is shaped to meet exact performance requirements and handle specific loads and stresses. To balance superb rigidity and low weight, Douglas chooses High Modulus carbon lugs to create additional strength at the joints and resist torsional stress. The Fusion's slightly sloped geometry features sculpted lugs, an oversized and tapered down tube and Wave-bend seat and chain stays to render unmatched vertical compliance with precise, confident handling and phenomenal acceleration.,br>

Douglas factored your feminine anatomy into the development of their woman-specific bike. This detailed analysis renders exceptional performance benefits, including a perfect balance between comfort, lightweight, affordability and flawless handling.

L'estro's design puts you in a more natural riding position, redistributing weight evenly between your hips and hands. With a narrower handlebar and shorter stem, your hands assume a more natural position, delivering greater control and less shoulder pain. Shorter crank arms improve your pedal stroke, promoting better spin and increased efficiency. The slightly sloped geometry stiffens the frame while providing a comfortable stand-over height.

The High Modulus carbon tube set is shaped to meet exact performance requirements and handle specific loads and stresses. To balance performance and low weight, L'estro uses High Modulus carbon lugs for additional strength at the joints. An oversized, tapered down tube and Wave-bend seat and chain stays deliver unmatched rigidity with precise, confident handling.

L'estro is tricked out with Shimano's Ultegra SL components, featuring an easy climbing compact crank, and a plush Terry saddle so luxurious you'll feel like it was built just for you.

Since the inception of the Matrix series, Douglas has been passionate about developing a road bike of extreme quality with a timeless design at a winning benchmark price. Not to be outdone by the past, Douglas is excited to introduce their completely redesigned 2009 Matrix, including Shimano's new Dura-Ace 7900 components, time-tested Easton wheels and a 3T cockpit that will delight the senses and leave the competition gasping on the tarmac.

Keeping foremost the philosophy of using the best technology for the right project, Douglas chose to craft their carbon fiber Matrix using a monocoque frame design. The monocoque design features complex tube shapes and fluid lines to provide strength and performance, while allowing excess weight to be carved away. Matrix features the perfect blend of precisely positioned High Modulus carbon fiber and high-impact resin to provide essential vertical compliance without sacrificing lateral and torsional resistance.

The super-sized chain stays are shaped to be extremely resistant to lateral forces and ensure optimal stiffness of the bottom bracket - whether hammered by sustained power strokes or chopped at with big bursts of going-for-the-line speed. A thin-wall, oversized head tube stiffens the entire front end and, in conjunction with a newly designed Douglas fork, gives the utmost in steering precision and response to rider input.
