Extralight is remarkably stiff and light thanks to an all-new MTS butted 3/2.5 oversized titanium tube set. Shaping and cold working of the oversized tube results in an increase of up to 45% in the material's strength, enhancing bottom bracket stiffness while maintaining a resilient ride. Signature hourglass shaped seat stays, coupled with massive, double-butted and tapered 1" chain stays, provide a smooth ride, rocket-like acceleration and superb climbing ability. The Extralight's elegantly engraved head tube, first-class finish and meticulous welds attest to Merlin's commitment to frame quality and esthetics. The super light Easton EC-90 SLX fork, featuring High-Modulus carbon construction with a carbon steerer tube, delivers nimble handling and reduces road vibration.
