"I was riding mountain bike pedals before I bought these. At first it was hard with the one-sided pedal but eventually got used to calmly flipping over the pedal and engaging. The lowest tension setting makes it as easy to disengage as mountain bike pedals however you have to be engaged to one pedal to push off as clipping in is tricky whereas with mountain bike pedals I didn't have to."
